On October 3 in Japan, the birthday of the character Madoka Kaname, the protagonist of the 2011 series Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, was celebrated again. How do Japanese fans of the series celebrate it? It turns out that in Akihabara there is a pachinko machine establishment known as "Island", renowned for its large number of series-based pachinko machines.

Putting both on the table, what do you get? Well this year a line of more than 2,400 people gathered quietly waiting to access the establishment. In fact, hundreds of posts on Twitter were made denoting this long line.

One Twitter user even traced the route that spanned the waiting line of more than 2,400 people on a map.

Finally, the establishment issued a statement regarding the event: “Today, 2,400 people have gathered to enter our facilities, with the count made at 09:10 hours. For customers in line, when they finally enter, please present your entrance ticket, remove your caps and glasses, and temporarily remove your mask for identification. Remember that smoking is prohibited in Chiyoda neighborhood, so please refrain from doing it while you wait. "
It is worth mentioning that this amount was much lower compared to previous years, mainly due to prevention measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, since last year more than 4,200 visitors were registered in a row.
On the other hand, the original twelve episode anime series was produced by Shaft Studios, under the direction of Yukihiro Miyamoto and scripts written by Gen Urobuchi, released in January 2011.
