On the official site for the anime adaptation of the spin-off manga written and illustrated by Shiba, Tensura Nikki: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime), the first promotional video for the project was revealed. The original video is locked outside of Japan, and reveals that the series is set to premiere on April 6.

In fact, its premiere was originally scheduled for last January, however, it was postponed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the production. As had been confirmed since its announcement, this series will serve as an intermission between the two parts of the second season of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.
