The Japanese portal Oricon revealed the five manga franchises with the most accumulated copies sold during the period from November 23, 2020 to November 21, 2021, with v taking the first position. This is the usual annual list of the platform, where the most successful franchises so far are reviewed.

Before listing it, it should be noted that in the aforementioned period there was no new compilation volume for the main line of the manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami , Kimetsu no Yaiba , but only releases of illustration books and spin-off projects of the franchise. Thus the fact that Kimetsu no Yaiba has occupied the second position is definitely considered a greater success than the series that achieved the first, especially because of the little difference between one and the other.

Regarding the latter, the first official illustration book, entitled " Kimetsu no Yaiba: Koyoharu Gashuu - Ikuseisou ", achieved the third position in the ranking of general books, with 491,007 copies sold. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Nuriehon - Ao ( Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Coloring Book: Blue )" got the seventh with 414,523 copies sold, and Kimetsu no Yaiba: Nuriehon - Aka ( Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Coloring Book: Red ) the ninth with 370,460 copies sold.
