During the Anime Expo 2022 event, Trigger studios surprised with the announcement of the production of a second season of the original anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt , with more details scheduled soon. The first season was produced by Gainax studios in 2010.

Following the broadcast of Hiroyuki Imaishi 's previous project Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann , the show's staff went on a trip to rest and relax. But this task requires unconventional weapons for these unorthodox angels: they transform their lingerie into weapons to dispatch the spirits. Unfortunately, neither of them take their duties seriously, as they prefer to spend their time on other “hobbies”: Panty prefers to sleep with anything that walks, and Stocking prefers to gorge himself on sweets than to hunt ghosts.
