The author Take reported through his official Twitter account that the manga Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! ( Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! ) will resume on May 19 with its 94th chapter, through Kadokawa 's DraDra Sharp service in Japan.
Let's remember that the most recent chapter was published on January 27 in Japan, and at that time the author commented on it:
- « I really wanted to finish the next chapter 94 as soon as possible so that they could read it, but I have reached exhaustion before. I've been trying to fool myself but it's gotten a bit overwhelming and various places on my body have been breaking down since last year so I'm going to do a full physical and mental maintenance once I'm done working on the tenth volume . Let's aim for chapter 100 together ».
And today he wrote a new publication where he commented on the resumption of the work:
- « It's been hard for me to get back on track and I can't draw at the same speed as before, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to say that the series is back on track. In any case, I will post the new chapter 94 next week on May 19! Sorry for the long wait. I will do my best until I am one step away from collapsing again ».
For his part, Take began publishing the manga through Niconico Seiga 's Dra Dra Sharp service in December 2017, while publisher Fujimi Shobo has been publishing its compiled volumes. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by ENGI studios and released in July 2020, followed by a second season released in October 2022.

At the beginning of her first year in college, Hana Uzaki meets Shinichi Sakurai, a senior who was in the same club as her during their high school days. However, to her surprise, the once active senior has ended up becoming a "loner" student, preferring to spend his free time in peace and quiet. Uzaki does everything she can to keep Sakurai from being "alone," from convincing him to go to the movies to his part-time workplace.
While Sakurai finds her irritating and tedious, he still goes along with Uzaki's antics and mischief, even if he knows that her light-hearted personality will only get the two of them into various comical situations. Still, as the days go by, their relationship only improves, to the point where the people around them misunderstand them as a couple. In any case, whenever Uzaki wants to hang out with his upperclassman, he's sure to be crazy fun and adorable to follow!
