Japan: Woman Arrested for Selling Nudes on Twitter

The Metropolitan Police Department in Japan made the arrest of five people (four women and one man) between the ages of 20 and 32 for selling uncensored adult videos through Twitter. According to the police report, Yukino Kimura , a company employee, is suspected of having sold uncensored and indecent videos of herself exposing her lower body to male customers since March of this year.

Kimura is believed to have made approximately 1.7 million yen (about US$12,000) by gathering customers by posting messages such as " Please message me if you want uncensored videos " on Twitter and then selling the obscene videos that she had recorded of herself. She confessed to the charges and stated that she "did not have enough money from her company's salary" and that she "wanted to respond to the requests of her followers."

The Metropolitan Police have also arrested three women between the ages of 26 and 32 and a 20-year-old man for selling uncensored adult videos. All these arrests, especially those of women, have attracted different comments in opinion forums in Japan, highlighting:
