We have previously talked about “にわか侍
(@niwaka05) ”, a popular artist on social networks who skillfully
edits anime scenes to include characters from completely different
franchises. In one of his most recent projects, this artist decided to
include Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou herself , the protagonist of
the Bocchi the
Rock! franchise! in a scene from the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen.
The particular scene corresponds to the fight between
Ryomen Sukuna and Jogo, during the Shibuya Incident Arc. In a short
fragment of less than ten seconds, we can see Sukuna launching a horizontal
slash that is quickly dodged by both Jogo and Bocchi Rosada. It's
certainly a pretty good display of editing skills, especially since the artist
also edits the vivid colors of Bocchi the Rock! so that they fit with the
darker tone that exists in the setting of Jujutsu Kaisen.
However, it turns out that this was just a preview. In the full video shared by the artist we can see that the scene extends to more than 90 seconds, and we realize that the sisters Mimiko and Nanako Hasaba were removed from the scene so that Bocchi took their place. Taking into account the original scene, it is understood that Bocchi dies on the spot, so the message that Nijika and Ryo receive at the end explains that same thing.
This is not the first time that this artist has dazzled the
public with his surprising creations. Previously, he has delivered
other amazing editions involving the cast of “Bocchi the Rock!” combining
them with other popular anime franchises. Each of these works has been
received with enthusiasm and applause, demonstrating the artist's mastery and
ingenuity in fusing different worlds in a unique way.
