Aniplex revealed a new promotional video for the
fourth season of the anime adaptation of the Koyoharu Gotouge Kimetsu no Yaiba,
titled as Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Training Arc (Pillar
Training Arc). The video confirms that its premiere is scheduled
for Spring-2024 (April-June) in Japan, in addition to revealing that its
premiere episode will be a one-hour special. A statement also announced
that the film Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training-, which
includes the last episode of the third season along with the first episode of
the fourth season, will be shown in cinemas in 140 countries around the
world starting February 23, 2024.
The third season was broadcast during the season of Spring-2023
(April-June) in Japan and had a total of eleven episodes , while the
platform Crunchyroll was in charge of its distribution in the
West. On the other hand, Koyoharu Gotouge published the
original manga through the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha between
February 2016 and May 2020, compiling the work in a total of twenty-three
volumes.
Sinopsis General de Kimetsu no Yaiba
Tanjirou Kamado lives with his impoverished family in a
remote mountain. As his older brother, he assumed the responsibility of
ensuring the sustenance of his family after the death of his father. On a cold
winter day, he goes down to the local village to sell charcoal. At nightfall,
he is forced to spend the night in the house of a curious man who warns him of
the existence of strange creatures that roam the night: malevolent demons that
crave human flesh.
When he finally gets home, Tanjirou's worst nightmare
comes true. His entire family has been brutally slaughtered, with the sole
exception of his sister Nezuko, who has become a flesh-eating demon. Filled
with hatred and despair, Tanjirou desperately tries to stop Nezuko from
attacking other people, embarking on a journey to avenge his family and find a
way to turn his beloved sister back into a human.
