On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Takuma Sakai and illustrated by Asagi ToosakaHeat the Pig Liver: The Story of a Man Turned Into a Pig (), it was announced that the broadcast of the ninth episode, scheduled for next December 2 in Japan, will be delayed due to production problems. Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro

The new broadcast date will be next December 9, and the production explained that this delay is to maintain the quality of the project. In other words, the animation team is having trouble maintaining the consistent quality of the episodes, so it needs some time to make the necessary adjustments. Will this be the only time this anime is delayed?

 


For its part, Asagi Toosaka began publishing the light novels through the publishing label Dengeki Bunko from the publisher Kadokawa in March 2020. A manga adaptation by Minami is published through the magazine Dengeki Maoh of the publisher Kadokawa since August 2020. An anime adaptation is currently broadcast, under the production of the studios Project No.9.

Sinopsis of Heat the Pig Liver

An unattractive otaku wakes up in the body of a pig after passing out while eating raw pig liver. The pig finds himself in the company of Jess, an innocent girl who can read people's minds, and she accepts him despite her perverted thoughts... even though she plans to eat him. When Jess is in danger of succumbing to a dark fate, can the pig save her using only her quick wits, her wisdom, and her refined sense of smell?
