On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga
written and illustrated by Yone Sawata , “ Acro Trip ”, a new
promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms the voice
cast, the production team and that the release date remains scheduled
for sometime this year in Japan.
Sawata
began publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Monthly Ribon magazine in
February 2017 and ended it in November 2022, with Shueisha publishing the
fourth compilation volume in February 2022, followed by the fifth in January
2023 in Japan. .
Acro Trip Synopsis
The comedy centers on Chizuko Date, an otaku girl who
lives in a city in Niigata Prefecture. Chizuko is obsessed with Berry Blossom,
the magical girl who protects the city. However, Chroma (the leader of the
local evil organization Fossa Magna) is inept and weak, so almost no one cares
anymore about the frequent battles between Berry Blossom and Chroma. Chizuko
vows to bring the magical girl's exploits to light, and this fervent desire
leads this seemingly shy high school girl down a dark path full of strange
people...
