Synopsis
of Kimi and Todoke
Sawako
Kuronuma is a 15-year-old student who is often mistaken for the horrible and vengeful
spirit Sadako Yamamura from The Ring. The striking resemblance causes Sawako to
be called “Sadako.” Due to her distant and gloomy appearance, her classmates
have become afraid of her and stay away from her. But despite this treatment,
she harbors an innocent and diligent heart.
Given her
sincere desire to make friends, Sawako has a deep admiration for Shouta
Kazehaya, the most popular boy in her class. Thanks to his refreshing
personality and smooth interpersonal interactions, Kazehaya attracts people
naturally. Wishing to be more like him, Sawako begins to spend more time with
Kazehaya. As he tries to turn the page, Sawako is encouraged to explore new
things he had never dared to do, with Kazehaya by his side.
