On the official site for the anime adaptation of the
manga written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka , “ Undead
Unluck ”, the production of a new sequel was announced, which will
be a 1-hour special episode that will premiere sometime in Winter-2025
( January-March) in Japan . Promotional materials show an intense snowstorm
and a saber engulfed in flames, confirming that it will directly continue the
story presented in the series.
This differs quite a bit from the leak
that emerged a few months ago where it was stated that a second season was
already in production , will it be announced after the
broadcast of this special episode? In the end we just have to wait for more
news about it. However, the main voice actors themselves also had something to
say:
- Yuuichi Nakamura (voice of Andy): What will this announced 1-hour special have in store for us? I think the way the story is presented will change compared to a 30 minute play, so I'm excited to see what kind of visuals they'll show us... I can't wait to see it! I look forward to the day when we can together say 'It's great, it's amazing!'!
- Moe Kahara (voice of Fuuko Izumo): Until just before thinking of this comment, the content of this big announcement was a secret even to me… Honestly, I was expecting a lot, so I'm incredibly happy!! I'm very excited to be able to see 'Undead Unluck' again in anime and to be able to play Fūko-chan again. As a fan of the original manga and as a voice actress, I'm looking forward to the moment. I will continue to do my best to not fall behind Fūko-chan and the others, who have become even stronger after the Autumn arc!
For his part, Yoshifumi Tozuka began
publishing the manga in Shueisha 's Weekly
Shonen Jump magazine in January 2020. An anime adaptation produced
by David Production studios and directed by Yuki Yase premiered
during the Fall-2023 season. (October-December) and had a
total of twenty-four episodes.

corpse, she discovers that his body is regenerating and that he is coming back
to life. The man, whom Fuuko calls Andy, is immortal and, like her, also wishes
for death. At first, Fuuko is reluctant, but she eventually decides to team up
with Andy to give him the best death possible; But a mysterious organization
