On the official site for the anime adaptation of Afro ’s
manga “ Yuru Camp ( Laid-Back
Camp ),” the production of a fourth season was announced. The release
included a special illustration by the author, but did not reveal
production details or a scheduled premiere date . On the other hand,
the author commented on the matter:
- « Thank
you very much for the decision to produce the fourth season of
the Yuru Camp△ anime ! In the third season , the
two new students were barely able to appear due to the limited number of
episodes, but in the fourth season , their story should be well
developed. I hope you enjoy it! And again… that white fluffy thing… »
On the other hand, Afro began
publishing the manga in Houbunsha 's Manga
Time Kirara Forward magazine in July 2015. The work has inspired a
total of three anime seasons totaling thirty-seven episodes to date, with the
first two produced by C-Station studios and the third by 8-Bit .
The franchise also had a feature film released in July 2022.
Yuru Camp Synopsis
While the perfect getaway for most girls her age might
be an extravagant vacation with their loved ones, Rin Shima's ideal way to go
is camping alone at the base of Mount Fuji. From setting up her tent to
collecting firewood, she's always done everything by herself and has no plans
of leaving her lonely little world. However, what starts out as one of Rin's
regular camping sessions somehow ends up as a surprise reunion for two when the
long-lost Nadeshiko Kagamihara is forced to take shelter at her campsite.
Originally intending to see the picturesque view of
Mount Fuji for herself, Nadeshiko's plans are cut short when she ends up
falling asleep halfway to her destination. Alone and with no other option, she
seeks out help from the only person nearby. Despite their hasty introductions,
the two girls enjoy the cold night together, eating ramen and chatting while
the campfire keeps them warm. And even after Nadeshiko's sister finally picks
her up later that night, both girls silently ponder the possibility of taking
another camping trip together.
