In a
statement released via her Twitter account, Ai Fairouz explained that she
developed PTSD a few months ago. Despite having made significant efforts to meet the expectations
and support of her fans and colleagues, she ultimately decided to prioritize
her health. “ I have worked hard to reciprocate the support I have
received, but I believe it is best now to focus on my treatment and recovery ,”
she noted.
The actress asked for respect for her privacy, explaining
that the cause of her PTSD is a personal matter and asked people to avoid
speculating or inquiring about the subject. She also expressed her
apologies and frustration for the concern and inconvenience this situation may
cause to the production teams and her fans. " I am deeply sorry
for any inconvenience this has caused to the wonderful teams who create my
favorite works and characters, as well as to the fans who always send me warm
words of support ," she added.
Ai Fairouz concluded her message by assuring that she will
work hard to recover and return in good health. The news has generated
a wave of support on social media, where fans and colleagues in the industry
have expressed messages of encouragement and solidarity with the actress.
Ai Fairouz has established herself as one of the most
prominent voice actresses in the anime industry thanks to her portrayal of
memorable characters such as Hibiki Sakura in 'Dumbbell Nan Kilo
Moteru?' , Jolyne Cujoh in 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone
Ocean' , and Power in 'Chainsaw Man' . Her energy and
charisma in each role have earned her a solid fan base who appreciate not only
her vocal talent, but her dedication as well.
The case of Fairouz Ai highlights once again the importance
of addressing mental health in the entertainment industry, a sector where job
demands and public expectations often create significant pressures. In
recent years, several public figures in Japan have spoken openly about their
struggles with psychological disorders, bringing visibility to a topic that was
previously treated as taboo.
