- Nanoka Hara (Lise): It was a pleasant surprise to
be selected for a voice-over role again. Although I was nervous during the
recording, I enjoyed every moment and was deeply moved to be part of this
beautiful project. I think Lise is a character that many will be able to
identify with and I hope that this film touches the hearts of children and
adults alike.
- Maika Pugh (Alice): When I found out I would be
playing Alice, I couldn't contain my excitement. Alice is a character full
of life and energy, and I enjoyed exploring different shades of her
personality during filming. This is a film to share with family or
friends, both for those who know the story and for those who will be
entering this world for the first time.
- Toshiya Shinohara
(Director): Walking alongside characters and worlds that fascinate us can be an
unforgettable experience. I hope this film will be an adventure that
leaves an impression on those who see it, inspiring them to look at the
world from new perspectives.
- Yuko Kakihara
(Screenwriter): While writing the script, I found myself asking myself over and
over again why Alice remains so beloved throughout the ages. I hope that
this film will be a warm and light refuge, like sharing a cup of tea with
friends, and that audiences will leave the theater with a smile.
Synopsis of Alice in Wonderland
Alice in
Wonderland is one of the best known fantasy stories in the world of literature,
because in it the English logician-mathematician and writer: Lewis Carroll,
created a unique world, full of incredible creatures and fantastic characters
that for more than a century have captivated children and adults, who have
decided to accompany the innocent and curious Alice in her incredible
adventures. Likewise, this work presents a criticism of Carroll towards the
norms of the rigid Vitorian society, because in it you can clearly see a girl
who must get ahead alone, away from the strict educational norms; so, with this
work, the author shows girls and boys as socially capable and independent
members, discovering at the same time the selfishness, fears and violence of
adults.
