A detective waifu arrives in Your Forma

On the official site for the anime adaptation of Mareho Kikuishi ’s light novels , “ Your Forma: Electronic Investigator Echika and Her Amicus Ex Machina ( Your Forma: Densakukan Echika to Kikaishikake no Aibou )”, a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the month of April 2025 , and shows a snippet of the opening theme song, titled “ GRIDOUT ” and performed by Yama .

For its part, Mareho Kikuishi began publishing the light novels through Kadokawa 's Dengeki Bunko imprint in March 2021, with illustrations by Tsubata Nozaki . A manga adaptation by Yoshinori Kisaragi ran in the publisher's Young Ace magazine between June 2021 and April 2023, without adapting all of the original material.

Synopsis of Your Forma

In an alternate 2023, Your Forma, a miraculous “smart thread” technology initially developed to treat a massive outbreak of viral encephalitis, has become an integral part of everyday life. But these handy devices have an invasive downside: they record every sight, sound, and even emotion their wearers experience.

For electronics investigator Echika Hieda, delving into people’s memories via Your Forma and searching for evidence to solve the toughest crimes is all part of her day job. The problem is, she’s so good at what she does that her assistants are literally frying their brains trying to keep up. After sending one too many assistants to the hospital, the higher-ups finally provide Echika with a partner to match—a brilliant but brash android named Harold Lucraft. Will this unlikely duo have what it takes to resolve their mutual suspicions and stop a deadly technological infection from spreading across the globe before it’s too late?
