If you’re a
fan of “ Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ,” then mark March 1
on your calendar because that day will be the release date of the
highly-anticipated first film of “ Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity
Castle .” The news will be given at a special event titled “Gathering
of the Hunters,” which will be filled with epic activities and will feature the
presence of the voice cast.
The
event will actually be streamed for free on Aniplex's YouTube channel and will feature Natsuki
Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kitou (Nezuko
Kamado), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), and
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira), who will kick off the day
with the opening ceremony.
Highlights
include a “Mini Parade in Ikebukuro,” where chibi characters from the series
will take over the streets of Tokyo. Additionally, Shimono and Matsuoka
will do the “Second Round of Training,” attempting to eat 1,000 bowls of
noodles alongside 80 other fans chosen by lottery. There will also be
a “Rank Promotion Test” to test fans’ knowledge of the franchise, and an
“Episode Selection” for fans to share their favorite moments from the anime.
And at
19:00 (Japan Time) comes the most anticipated event: the “Special Presentation
of New Information.” Here, the release date of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
– Infinity Castle” will be revealed along with the voice cast, which will
surely also offer a new promotional video or, at least, a visual. And to top it off, Natsuki
Hanae will present a first look at “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The
Hinokami Chronicles 2,” the next video game in the franchise that will be
released this year.
On the
other hand, Koyoharu Gotouge published the original manga
through Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine
between February 2016 and May 2020, compiling the work into a total of
twenty-three volumes. The anime adaptation produced by Ufotable studios
has aired a total of four seasons since the first in Spring 2019
(April-June) , totaling 63 episodes so far, as well as three films
(one canonical and two compilations).
General
Synopsis of Kimetsu no Yaiba
Tanjirou
Kamado lives with his impoverished family on a remote mountain. As the eldest
brother, he has taken on the responsibility of providing for his family
following the death of his father. On a cold winter's day, he goes down to the
local village to sell charcoal. As night falls, he is forced to spend the night
in the home of a curious man who warns him of strange creatures that roam the
night: malevolent demons that crave human flesh.
When he
finally arrives home, Tanjirou's worst nightmare has come true. His entire
family has been brutally slaughtered, with the sole exception of his sister
Nezuko, who has been turned into a flesh-eating demon. Driven by hatred and
despair, Tanjirou desperately tries to stop Nezuko from attacking others,
setting out on a journey to avenge his family and find a way to turn his
beloved sister back into a human.
