A new
promotional video for the project has been revealed on the official
website for the anime adaptation of Shun Umezawa 's manga
" The Darwin Incident ( Darwin Jihen )". The
video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the Winter 2026
(January-March) period in Japan , and lists the production team.
For his
part, Shun Umezawa began publishing the manga through Kodansha 's Monthly
Afternoon magazine in June 2020, where it is still in serialization.
Previously, the author published other manga such as " Panty
Stocking no Youna Sora no Shita ", " Ippiki to
Kyuujuukyuuhiki to " and " Pinkie wa Nido Bell wo
Narasu ".
Synopsis
of The Darwin Incident
The
Animal Liberation Alliance, an eco-terrorist organization, rescues a pregnant
chimpanzee from an animal testing lab to give birth to a half-human,
half-chimpanzee "humanzee" named Charlie. Fifteen years later,
Charlie's human adoptive parents are ready to send him to a mainstream high
school, where he makes his first friend: a human girl named Lucy. Meanwhile,
however, the ALA's stance has become increasingly extreme, and now they're here
to drag Charlie into their terrorist plot...
