Through a
press release, Netflix released a new promotional video for
the animated adaptation of CAPCOM 's video game , " Devil
May Cry ." The video confirms that the premiere is
scheduled for April 3 through the platform's global catalog , and
lists that the first season will have eight episodes and will feature the
characters Dante, Vergil, and Lady.
The video
also features a snippet of the opening theme song, "Rollin',"
performed by Limp Bizkit. It's worth noting that since its
announcement, it was reported that this adaptation would have multiple seasons,
but it's not an anime because it's being produced by a studio outside of Japan.

other hand, the action-adventure video game franchise was first released in
2001 for the PlayStation 2 console. Since then, several installments
have been released on multiple video game consoles under the direction of
creator Hideki Kamiya, leading the series to total over 32 million copies sold ,
multiple comics, novelizations, two animated series, guides, collectible
merchandise, publications and a variety of action figures.
Devil
May Cry Synopsis
Set on
the fictional Mallet Island in modern times, the story follows Dante, a demon
hunter who uses his business to pursue a personal vendetta against the
creatures. His mission takes a new turn when he meets Trish, a mysterious woman
who guides him on a journey to defeat the supreme demon Mundus, the man
responsible for the deaths of his mother and brother.
Through
cinematics and pre-rendered video sequences, the game tells an action-packed
story of revenge, loosely inspired by Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. This
influence is reflected in the names of its characters, such as Dante, Trish
(Beatrice Portinari), and Vergil (Virgil), adding a symbolic layer to their
epic struggle against the forces of Hell.
