Drama returns in Let's Go Karaoke!/Captivated, by You

A press release listed that Yama Wayama 's manga " Let's Go Karaoke! ( Karaoke Iko! )" and " Captivated, by You ( Muchuu sa, Kimi ni. )" are getting anime adaptations. The release listed the first promotional video, which reveals that the premiere is slated for sometime in the Summer 2025 period (July-September) .



For his part, Yama Wayama began publishing the manga " Let's Go Karaoke! " as a doujinshi in 2019, while the publishing house Kadokawa published it in a single volume in September 2020. This manga inspired a live-action film released in January-2024 in theaters in Japan. Subsequently, Wayama published " Captivated, by You " as a doujinshi in February 2019, and then as a compilation in the book " Ushiro no Nikaido ", with an original thirty-page sequel story.


Synopsis of Let's Go Karaoke!


Nothing worries Satomi Oka more than the upcoming final choir competition of her high school career... until a stranger approaches her from the shadows and demands, "Let's do karaoke!" As a yakuza, Kyouji Narita doesn't scare easily, but a terrifying prospect has led him to seek Satomi's help. Her boss has organized a karaoke contest, and the loser will be forced to get a tattoo, with the boss himself deviously selecting and applying the design. Oka has attended many vocal rehearsals over the years, but never a one-on-one karaoke session with a gangster!

Hayashi's straightforward, straightforward demeanor quietly draws the attention of his classmates and strangers alike as he counts all the school's staircases, photographs street signs, and dries sweet potatoes on the classroom balcony. In a world shaped by conformity, Hayashi is refreshingly authentic and unapologetic. In contrast, Nikaidou has worked hard to perfect a somber, brooding facade that keeps his classmates at a distance. While much of the school considers him a bad omen, one student gains a glimpse behind the mask and, undeterred by rumors of bad luck and supernatural powers, begins to slowly dismantle Nikaidou's meticulously constructed persona...
