Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show introduces 3 new characters

The original anime Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show, produced by Cygames and directed by Masato Matsune (Reign of the Seven Spellblades), continues to generate anticipation ahead of its July 1 premiere. This time, three new trailers have been revealed focused on key characters that will be part of this adventure full of horror and virtual satire.

NAO-KICHI: a mangaka in search of inspiration

The first to perform is NAO-KICHI, played by Taichi Ichikawa (Bam in Tower of God). This manga genius joins the mysterious virtual reality game not for fun, but to find ideas for his next big work. Their presence suggests that the game will serve not only as a horror setting, but also as a creative catalyst.

Ghatanothoa: The Lovecraftian God in Style

Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's creature first seen in the short story *Out of the Aeons* (1935), this Ghatanothoa has a peculiar twist: a bird's head and elegant jacket. Far from being a silent force, this being enjoys reciting literary phrases and exercising its sadism with irony. The character is brought to life by Katsuyuki Konishi (Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer).

Tsugumi Tsukasa: Lost Fame and Virtual Redemption

The third to join is Tsugumi Tsukasa, a disgraced actress who turned to streaming after a media scandal and bankruptcy caused by her family's debts. Now, in this game where everything seems to be on the line, Tsugumi seeks to regain his former glory. He is voiced by Hazuki Ogino (Shimon Hokuraku in Alice Gear Aegis Expansion).

A top-notch creative team and its premiere

The anime has an all-star team: Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA) is in charge of the composition of the series, Jiro Suzuki (Revenger) signs the original character design and Evan Call (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End) is in charge of the music. Everything points to a combination of cosmic horror, social criticism and digital satire.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime starting July 1 (Japan time), as part of its summer season. The story follows Miko, a streamer whose life is radically changed when a mysterious virtual reality game challenges her and her friends with out-of-this-world tests.

With this new batch of trailers, Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show makes it clear that it will not be a conventional series. Its mix of humor, horror and criticism of digital culture promises to be one of the most original proposals of the year.
