Netflix
continues to drop details about its highly anticipated animated adaptation of
"Devil May Cry ,"
and now it's surprised rock fans with a revelation: Evanescence will be
performing a new song titled "Afterlife" for the series. This
announcement comes shortly after it was confirmed that the series will premiere
on April 3, will have eight episodes, and will feature iconic characters like
Dante, Vergil, and Lady, as we previously reported .
Evanescence's
new single will be released this Friday, but fans can get an exclusive sneak
peek ahead of time. The band will share a lyric video for the track and
exclusive clips from the series on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. EDT. This
follows the already confirmed opening theme song, "Rollin'" by Limp
Bizkit, making it clear that music will be a strong point in this adaptation.
Let's
remember that this isn't a Japanese production, so technically it's not an
anime, although it's still generating a lot of excitement among "Devil May
Cry" fans. With
a soundtrack packed with legendary names and a story that promises unbridled
action, the hype is sky-high. Will this be the best adaptation of the franchise
yet?
