On the
official site for the anime adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa 's novels , " Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary ", a new promotional
video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that this second
season is scheduled to premiere on April 5 in Japan , and shows a
snippet of the musical themes:
- Yorushika will perform the opening
theme song " Kaseijin ," while Nagi
Yanagi will perform the ending theme song " SugaRiddle ."
On the other hand, Honobu Yonezawa began publishing the novels through Tokyo Sogensha in December 2004, starting with the story “ The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart ”, followed by “ The Case of the Summertime Limited-Edition Tropical Parfait ” in April 2006; and then by “ The Case of the Autumn-time Limited-Edition Candied Chestnuts and Sweet Potatoes ” and “ The Mystery of the Paris Macaron ”. The most recent, titled “ The Case of the Wintertime Limited-Edition Chocolate Bonbons ” was released in April 2024.

“Let’s help each other and aim to become perfect ordinary
citizens.” Kobato, who once had a bitter experience with the deduction
activities known as “wisdom work,” was determined to become an upright and
humble citizen. She secretly formed a reciprocal relationship with her
classmate, Osanai, who shared the same aspiration, planning to debut in high
school as ordinary citizens and lead peaceful days. However, for some reason,
mysterious incidents and misfortunes occur in their school lives. Will Kobato and
Osanai be able to achieve peaceful days as ordinary citizens?
