The
official website for " Sai-Kyo-Oh! Zukan: The Ultimate Tournament ",
the second anime adaptation of the children's book series " Sai-Kyo-Oh!
Zukan ", revealed the main promotional video for the project. The
release listed the premiere as April 6 in Japan , and listed
production details and the voice cast.
The
original book series, meanwhile, has 5.4 million copies in circulation to date
and will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. The first anime adaptation,
titled " Sai-Kyo-Oh! Zukan: The Ultimate Battles ,"
premiered in Winter 2024 (January-March) .
Synopsis
of Sai-Kyo-Oh! Zukan: The Ultimate Tournament
The new
anime's story is set on "Sai-Kyō-Jima" (The Ultimate Island), a
mysterious, isolated island with countless unexplored battlefields, ranging
from deserts and rocky cliffs to forests, ice fields, and caverns. Here,
players of various species, including extinct animals, insects, and dinosaurs,
compete in tournament-style battles to claim the title of strongest. In
addition to previously introduced creatures like the Tyrannosaurus,
Purussaurus, lion, and Hercules beetle, the new anime introduces more species
that will fight to become the ultimate, including sea creatures and dragons.
