Good
news for "Dandadan" fans! During the franchise's panel at Jump
Festa 2025, a new promotional video for the second season was revealed, confirming
its premiere for the Summer 2025 season (July-September) , with
Spanish animator Abel Góngora serving as the project's second director. If you
want more details, you can read the full story here.
But
that's not all. Now we also have the new key visual for the season! In it, we can see Momo and
Okarun in full action, as well as the presence of Turbo Grandma. Something
quite intriguing is the mysterious figure with sharp eyes and a giant mouth in
the background, which undoubtedly promises intense action.
It's
also been confirmed that Mutsumi Tamura will voice the character of Evil Eye,
who appears as a man in underwear who appears in Gigi's dreams, causing all
sorts of trouble. Tamura
shared his feelings about the character, describing him as someone who watches
children play with envy:
- The show's appeal: While the theme of spirits and
the occult often generates curiosity, it's sometimes scary and can make me
hesitate to watch it. "Dandadan" manages to combine terrifying
and sad moments with a very upbeat, pop-inspired atmosphere, making it
very watchable and a lot of fun. And the battle scenes are
impressive!
- Commitment to portraying Evil Eye: The scenes from Evil Eye's past were really tough and sad. I portrayed him as watching the children play with envy... I felt bad for him, thinking, "How sad, I want him to grow out of that." I hope audiences feel the same way when they see him. I also hope the difference between Evil Eye, who became a supernatural entity, and his evil appearance has the impact we're looking for.
As if that
weren't enough, the series is returning to TV! Starting July 3, you can
watch the second season of "Dandadan" on the Super Animeism TURBO
block on MBS, TBS, and 28 other networks (and, of course, streaming platforms
around the world). And if you missed anything, the first season will
