Now it's
official! After so many rumors , leaks, and mysterious signs,
the seventh installment of the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" manga,
titled "Steel Ball Run," has finally been confirmed to have its anime
adaptation. This
was announced during the special "JOJODAY" event dedicated to the
franchise and broadcast live through the ABEMA service in 16 countries outside
of Japan.
We'd
already mentioned that something was brewing in a previous report, where a
search in China and a leak from leaker OECUF practically confirmed that
production was underway. Now, with this official announcement, there's
no doubt that "Steel Ball Run" is underway. The event,
organized by Warner Bros. Japan, promised to "connect the past and
future" of JoJo, and boy did it deliver.
It was held
in Tokyo and featured guests beloved by fans of the franchise: Kazuyuki Okitsu
(Jonathan Joestar), Daisuke Ono (Jotaro Kujo), Junichi Suwabe (Leone
Abbacchio), and Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Kujo). Although a release date
hasn't been revealed yet, with this confirmation we can start getting really
excited.
