JoJo's Bizarre Adventure finally confirms its return

Now it's official! After so many rumors , leaks, and mysterious signs, the seventh installment of the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" manga, titled "Steel Ball Run," has finally been confirmed to have its anime adaptation. This was announced during the special "JOJODAY" event dedicated to the franchise and broadcast live through the ABEMA service in 16 countries outside of Japan.


We'd already mentioned that something was brewing in a previous report, where a search in China and a leak from leaker OECUF practically confirmed that production was underway. Now, with this official announcement, there's no doubt that "Steel Ball Run" is underway. The event, organized by Warner Bros. Japan, promised to "connect the past and future" of JoJo, and boy did it deliver.


It was held in Tokyo and featured guests beloved by fans of the franchise: Kazuyuki Okitsu (Jonathan Joestar), Daisuke Ono (Jotaro Kujo), Junichi Suwabe (Leone Abbacchio), and Fairouz Ai (Jolyne Kujo).  Although a release date hasn't been revealed yet, with this confirmation we can start getting really excited.

  • Despite some ups and downs in popularity, the manga has maintained its relevance and remains one of the industry's most influential works. "Steel Ball Run," the seventh installment, is considered one of the most notable due to its narrative complexity and how it revitalizes the franchise with new elements.

  • The anime adaptation of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" began in 2012 with the first part, "Phantom Blood," and has since covered all parts of the manga. David Production Studios is responsible for the animation, offering a stunning visual representation that perfectly captures Araki's unique designs and quirky storytelling style.

  • In "Steel Ball Run," the seventh installment, the story takes a turn as it moves to 19th-century America. An epic horse race crosses the country, known as the Steel Ball Run. The protagonist, Johnny Joestar, is a young former jockey seeking redemption and regaining his ability to walk. He joins the race in hopes of winning the grand prize and, more importantly, obtaining the power of a mysterious artifact called the Steel Balls.
