A while back it was confirmed that " Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon ( Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou )" would have a second season, after the broadcast of its final episode. On that occasion, a promotional visual illustrated by Naoki Yamauchi, animation director of the first season, was shared.

Well, now, new official details have finally arrived: the anime's website revealed a teaser visual, a promotional video, returning cast members, new and returning staff, and most importantly: the second season will premiere in July on channels like Tokyo MX and BS NTV. Stars Jun Fukuyama and Kaede Hondo are returning as Hakkon (Boxxo) and Lammis, respectively, so fans can rest easy.

Among the main changes is that Takashi Yamamoto (Jewelpet Twinkle, Nanatsuiro Drops) will take over as director, replacing Noriaki Akitaya. The animation will continue to be handled by Studio Gokumi in collaboration with AXsiZ . On the other hand, Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Domestic Girlfriend) returns as main scriptwriter, while Takahiro Sakai will repeat as responsible for adapting Yuuki Hagure's original designs for animation. And yes, the aforementioned Naoki Yamauchi , who was the chief animation director on the first season, will also be involved this time as character designer.

With the premiere scheduled for July, we now just have to wait for more information, such as a full trailer or the announcement of new characters. For now, fans have a new reason to get excited about this peculiar isekai… complete with a vending machine!

  • The first season of the anime "Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon" premiered in July 2023. The original story was written by Hirukuma, who initially published it on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website between March and December 2016, with additional afterwords published between January and February 2017. Kadokawa later released the print version under its Sneaker Bunko imprint, illustrated by Itsuwa Katou, and consisting of three volumes. In addition, there is a manga adaptation by Kunieda, which has been published since August 2021 in the Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine.

  • Actors Jun Fukuyama and Kaede Hondo play the protagonists Hakkon (Boxxo) and Lammis, respectively. Both return to reprise their roles in the second season.

  • The story follows a middle-aged man whose only passion in life was vending machines. After dying in a car accident, he is reincarnated as what he admired most: a vending machine. However, his new life begins in the worst possible place: a dungeon full of monsters, where he can't speak or move on his own. Despite this, he finds a way to move forward and make connections with other characters, like the young Lammis, who becomes his partner in adventure.
