Kadokawa has listed
the release of a new short story collection for Hajime Kamoshida 's
Seishun Buta Yarou Series ( Rascal Does Not Dream )",
titled Seishun Buta Yarou wa Beach Queen no Yume wo Minai Plus ( Rascal
Does Not Dream of a Beach Queen Plus )", scheduled for July 10 in
Japan. The new release will feature illustrator Keiji Mizugochi, who
illustrated the art for all of the previous installments in the light novel
franchise.
Additionally,
the collection will include a new story titled "Seishun Buta Yarou wa
Tropical Summer no Yume wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of a Tropical
Summer)." The new collection focuses on the day of the
Minegahara High School sports festival. Sakuta Azusagawa decides to cheer on
the blue team, but is then ordered to join the ball throwing team. Sakuta is
asked to replace his classmate and fellow young beach volleyball player, Minagi
Otsu.
Considering
that a new season of the anime adaptation is in production, it's no surprise
that the publisher is preparing for the return of the literary franchise. So, be sure to check out the

- Kadokawa published the first novel
in the series written by Hajime Kamoshida in April 2014,
under the title " Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl-senpai no
Yume wo Minai ( Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl
Senpai )". The franchise celebrated its 10th anniversary in
2024, and currently has over 3 million copies in circulation. The
fifteenth and final installment, " Seishun Buta Yarou wa Dear
Friend no Yume wo Minai ( Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear
Friend )", was published in October 2024.
- The television anime adaptation
of " Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai "
premiered in October 2018 and ran for 13 episodes, covering the story up
to the fifth light novel volume. The film " Rascal Does Not
Dream of a Dreaming Girl ( Seishun Buta Yarou wa
Yume-Miru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai )", adapting the 6th and
7th volumes, opened in Japan in June 2019.
- A sequel anime project adapted
novels 8 and 9: " Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing
Out " and " Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack
Kid ". Finally, the college arc of the novels is being
adapted into a television anime under the title " Rascal Does
Not Dream of Santa Claus ( Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa
Claus no Yume wo Minai )", scheduled to premiere in July of
this year.
