The latest
issue of Weekly Shonen Jump announced that Hideyuki
Furuhashi and Betten Court 's My Hero
Academia: Vigilantes ( Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia
Illegals ) manga will have a new one-shot chapter introducing
a "special story arc" this week.
It's no
surprise that they're resuming the manga's story, considering the anime
adaptation is currently airing , so we'll just have to wait a few hours to enjoy this new story.
In the meantime, don't forget to check out the details of the show:
- "My Hero Academia:
Vigilantes" is a spin-off manga of the main work "My Hero
Academia," created by Kohei Horikoshi. The story takes place before the
start of the main plot and follows Koichi Haimawari, who fails to become
an official hero and instead uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his
spare time. After a run-in with some local criminals, he teams up with two
unlikely heroes. Though they don't know exactly what they're doing, they
have the courage, or the recklessness, to try, but soon discover that
fighting evil requires more than bravery.
- The manga was launched in
Shueisha 's Shonen
Jump GIGA magazine in August 2016 by Hideyuki
Furuhashi and Betten Court . In December 2016,
the series was relaunched on the Shonen Jump Plus service. The manga
concluded in May 2022, with a total of 15 volumes.
- The anime adaptation of the
manga premiered on April 7 on Tokyo MX and BS NTV, with the animation
being produced by BONES Studios. Crunchyroll is streaming the
series worldwide, excluding Asia.
