A few weeks ago we told you that the long-awaited fourth
season of the anime " Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari ( The
Rising of the Shield Hero )" already had a release window
for Summer-2025 (July-September) , along with a new
promotional visual and two new characters.
Well, now
we have many more details: Kadokawa has revealed the first promotional video,
the production team, and the theme song artists. For those who were
worried, yes, Kinema Citrus is still in charge of the animation, and Hitoshi
Haga is returning as director after directing the third season.
As for the music, MADKID will be returning with the opening theme song "Resolution ," while Chiai Fujikawa will also be returning to perform the ending theme song, titled "Eien ni Ikkai no" (One Time for Eternity) . While the opening title may sound familiar, it's not a rehash of the first season's theme, but a brand new song of the same name.
Also
returning are Keigo Koyanagi as scriptwriter, along with character designers
Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu, and Masahiro Suwa, all of whom have been
with him since the third season. Meanwhile, Takanori Yamamoto, who directed episodes in previous
seasons, now moves up a level as assistant director. Kevin Penkin
continues to helm the score, joined by Alfredo Sirica and Natalie Jeffreys, who
collaborated with him on previous installments.
Additionally,
it had previously been confirmed that Takeo Ootsuka and Jirou Saitou are
joining the cast as Werner and Jaralis, respectively. The fourth season
will officially premiere in July 2025, and with this first trailer, we can
already begin to get an idea of the tone this new installment will have. Will
it be able to raise the hype after a third season that divided opinions? We'll
find out next summer.
