Acclaimed
manga artist Tsukasa Saimura , known for works such
as Hour of the Zombie and Crueler Than Dead ,
has debuted a new horror story titled Sangeki Sanmyaku ~Higuma
Shūgeki~ (Tragic Mountains: The Grizzly Bear Attack). The release
took place on Thursday, May 2 through Akita Publishing 's Champion
Cross platform .
A
farewell trip that turns into a nightmare
The story
follows Yūji , a recent college graduate who plans one last
camping trip with his friends before entering the working world. Their chosen
destination is Hokkaido , a perfect place to unwind... until
it all turns into a nightmare.
What
promised to be a memorable escape turns into a race for survival when a bloodthirsty
grizzly bear attacks the group. The manga promises an experience
filled with suspense, violence, and psychological horror , a
formula that has become Saimura's trademark.

Saimura is
no stranger to the genre. He previously worked alongside Kozo Takahashi on
the manga Crueler Than Dead , which was licensed in English
by Ablaze in September 2021 . He is also the
author of Tokyo Undead , based on a story by Shigeo
Nakayama , published in July 2015 and later licensed
by Seven Seas Entertainment .
Furthermore,
his best-known work, Hour of the Zombie ( Igai: The
Play Dead/Alive ), reached a total of nine volumes and
was also published internationally by Seven Seas, cementing his reputation as
one of the benchmarks of horror in modern manga.
A new
