The creators of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime  have announced that the upcoming second season compilation film will include a special surprise for fans: a new mini-anime titled “Juju Stroll” ( Juju Sanpo ). This original production will be shown exclusively in theaters and will star Satoru Gojō , Suguru Getō , and Shoko Ieiri in their student days.

Release date and musical details

The film, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death , collects the “ Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu ” arc from the second season, which explores the past of now-enemies Gojō and Getō. It is slated to open in Japan on Thursday, May 30 , and will feature a theme song performed by Tatsuya Kitani : an acoustic version of “ Ao no Sumika ,” the anime’s original opening theme song.

Upcoming international premiere confirmed

Distributor GKIDS announced that the film will hit theaters in the United States on July 16 , available both subtitled and dubbed in English. A release date for Europe and Latin America is currently unknown.

Remembering the path traveled

The second season of the anime aired between July and December 2023 , covering both the Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu and Shibuya Incident arcs . Crunchyroll handled the simulcast and also offers a Spanish dubbed version.

The new special "Juju Stroll" seeks to add a lighthearted, humorous touch that contrasts with the intensity of the main arcs, showing the more human and everyday side of the wizards when they still shared a classroom and friendship.

The future of the franchise is already underway

Following the success of the anime and its first film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 , released in Japan in December 2021 , the franchise shows no signs of stopping. MAPPA studio is already working on adapting the manga's next major arc: "Culling Game" (Shimetsu Kaiyū) .

With Gege Akutami 's manga already ending since September 2024 , the Jujutsu Kaisen universe continues to expand through the anime, and this new mini-episode promises to be a nostalgic nod that will delight both new viewers and veteran fans.
