This year's
30th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine, published by
Shueisha, announced that renowned mangaka Nene Yukimori, author
of Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible, will be releasing a new manga
titled Osananananajimi. Its publication will begin in the
next edition of the magazine, with a release date scheduled for Wednesday,
July 3 in Japan, which corresponds to Tuesday night, July 2 in
Spain time (UTC+2).
The new
play revolves around Yūichi Momose and Sumi Fujino,
two childhood friends who shared an unbreakable closeness in their early years.
However, already in high school and despite being classmates, the relationship
between them has changed. Everything takes an unexpected turn when, one
day, Sumi appears unexpectedly at Yūichi's house, thus starting a
new stage in their bond.
Yukimori's
legacy continues to grow
Nene
Yukimori debuted with Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible in
October 2019 in the same magazine, which was completed in March 2023. An
epilogue chapter was included in the compilation volume number 12,
published in April of the same year. The manga was also available digitally
through Shonen Jump+, MANGA Plus and Viz
Media, who also published it in physical format in English.
From the
pages of manga to anime
Kubo-san received an anime
adaptation that premiered in January 2023. The series was broadcast
by HIDIVE, although it faced delays in its broadcast after
episode 6 due to the impact of COVID-19 on its production. The anime was
rebroadcast from episode 1 in April 2023 to ensure its continuity.
High
expectations for his new romantic comedy
With a
proposal that promises to explore nostalgia, young love and second
chances, Osananananajimi aims to become a new jewel of school
romance. Kubo-san's readers are already eagerly awaiting
Yukimori's return to serialization, this time with a story where shared
memories could rekindle a dormant bond.
