Fans of the
charismatic Pillar of Sound, Tengen Uzui, are in luck.
In the run-up to the long-awaited premiere of the film Demon Slayer:
Kimetsu no Yaiba, Infinity Castle, the character will make a brief but
brilliant return to the big screen through an exclusive animated short.
This special
"etiquette" video — a tradition in Japanese theaters to
remind audiences of the rules of behavior during the screening — will feature
Tengen and his three wives in a never-before-seen sequence produced by ufotable.
The piece will be screened exclusively at Toho Cinemas between June
20 and July 17, just before certain screenings in Japan.
Infinity
Castle opens in Japan this summer
The first
installment of the Infinity Castle film trilogy will be released
in Japan on July 18 at 00:00 (local time). This new stage will
adapt the climax of the story of the manga created by Koyoharu Gotouge,
bringing to the screen the epic confrontation between the Hashira and
the demonic forces of Muzan Kibutsuji.
Meanwhile, Crunchyroll and Sony
Pictures Entertainment have already confirmed that the trilogy will be
distributed in theaters around the world, excluding Japan and some territories
in Asia. This ensures that the final battle reaches thousands of fans on big
screens around the planet.
A
production team that does not let its guard down
The
direction is once again in the hands of Haruo Sotozaki, while Akira
Matsushima leads the character design and animation direction. The
soundtrack continues by the duo formed by Yuki Kajiura and Go
Shiina, consolidating the visual and sound stamp that has characterized the
franchise since its inception.
A story
that is approaching its denouement
The story
follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young man who joins the Demon
Extermination Corps after the transformation of his younger
sister, Nezuko, into a demon. Along the way, he has fought
alongside Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and has
fought side by side with Hashiras such as Rengoku, Uzui, Tokito,
and Kanroji.
During
the Hashira's special training, Muzan Kibutsuji appears
in the Ubuyashiki Mansion, causing a battle that drags Tanjiro and company to
the Infinite Castle, the heart of demonic territory. There the
final confrontation that will define the destiny of humanity will be unleashed.
With new
surprises on the way and the return of favorite characters, Kimetsu no Yaiba is
preparing to write the most epic chapter of its history in Japanese theaters
this summer.
