The August
issue of Kodansha's Dessert magazine revealed on
Tuesday that the manga Bokura no Suki wa Warikirenai (whose
English title is Our Love Is Not That Simple), the work of Yōko
Nogiri, will reach its conclusion in just two more chapters,
not counting chapter 25 that was published in this same edition.
A love
triangle difficult to resolve
The story
follows a young woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when her divorced
parents remarry after eight years of separation. Suddenly, her handsome
adoptive brother and childhood friend return to her life, leading to a complicated
love triangle in which she can't decide who to stay with.
Almost
two years of publication
The series
was launched by Yōko Nogiri in Dessert magazine in November
2022. On June 13, Kodansha published the manga's sixth
compilation volume, which has captured readers' attention with its romantic
drama and intense emotional relationships.
An
author with a career in young adult romance
Yōko Nogiri
is recognized for her talent in the shojo genre. Prior to this work, he
published the manga Those Not-So-Sweet Boys (Amakunai
Karera no Nichijou wa) also in Dessert between January 2019 and September
2021, which concluded with seven volumes.
In
addition, Kodansha Comics has distributed his previous works
in English: the four volumes of That Wolf-Boy is Mine! and the
three volumes of Love in Focus, consolidating his presence among
the international public who love school romance.
With only
two chapters remaining, Bokura no Suki wa Warikirenai prepares
to close its story leaving fans expectant to find out how this love dilemma
will finally be resolved.
