Crunchyroll Launches Anime Movie Nights with Kobayashi-san and Overlord

Crunchyroll announced during the recent San Diego Comic-Con the launch of a new monthly screening program titled Crunchyroll Anime Nights, which will begin in the United States starting next Monday, October 21.


This proposal will bring some of the most popular series and films of current anime to theaters, screening every third Monday of the month in selected theaters of chains such as Alamo Drafthouse, AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark, Harkins and Larmark Cinemas.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the popular dark fantasy anime OVERLORD, Crunchyroll will screen the first seven episodes of season 1 in theaters. The story follows Momonga, a salaried employee who gets stuck inside his favorite MMORPG when the servers shut down. Now transformed into Ains Ooal Gown, the Sorcerer King, he must adapt and conquer this new world with his immense power.
