The
long-awaited anime adaptation of Mechanical Marie revealed
a new trailer and confirmed its premiere date for
October 2025. In addition, two new additions to the cast were
announced, expanding the world of this science fiction comedy with tinges of
action and satire.
Recognized
voices join the story
Along with
the two previously revealed protagonists, the following talents are added:
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Noah (Gabimaru
in Hell's Paradise)
- Ami Koshimizu as Marie-2 (Saki
Kawasaki in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU)
Both
characters were introduced with their respective official visuals in
the new trailer, hinting at the eccentricity and humor that will set the tone
for the series.
A story
of deception, affection and machines
Based on
the manga by Aki Akimoto, the anime follows Marie, a
young human girl who must pretend to be a state-of-the-art android to protect
her strange employer, who deeply hates humans. What seemed like a
simple mission is complicated by the constant assassination attempts against
his boss... and his unhealthy obsession with inanimate objects. Marie doesn't
know what will end her up first: the murderers or the uneasy affection of her
protégé.
A
first-class technical team
The
direction is in charge of Junji Nishimura (The Fire Hunter)
in collaboration between the Zero-G and Liber studios.
The series is composed by Mariko Kunisawa (BARTENDER Glass
of God), with character designs by Yoko Kikuchi (Twilight
Out of Focus). The music will be composed by Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy
Tail) and Johannes Nilsson (Gushing over Magical Girls).
The series
will be one of the most original bets of autumn 2025, combining absurd
humor, action and elements of science fiction with a story that
promises both laughter and excitement.
