The popular
mobile game franchise Monster Strike, developed by MIXI, will
premiere its first television anime titled Monster
Strike: Deadverse Reloaded in October 2025. The series
will air for one cours (approximately three months) in Tokyo
MX and on more than 44 channels throughout Japan.
A
franchise with a history in anime
This is not
Monster Strike's first contact with animation, but it is the first time
that a series of the saga will be broadcast on television. The anime
originally debuted digitally with Monster Strike the Animation in October
2015, with a total of 52 episodes streamed online.
Since then,
the franchise has expanded its universe with multiple seasons and spin-offs,
including series dedicated to characters such as Arthur, Lucifer, Solomon and Noah.
Projects such as Lucifer: The Final Arc (2020) and the
special Monster Strike: End of the World, where the main heroes
came together to face the powerful Decemviri, were also
highlighted.
A
phenomenon that was born as a video game
The
original Monster Strike game was released for iOS and
Android in Japan in 2013, and had an English version that ran from 2014 to
2017. In 2015, a Nintendo 3DS adaptation was also released in Japan, further
cementing its local success.
Cinema,
interaction and global expansion
The saga
also ventured into the big screen with three films: Monster Strike The
Movie (2016), Sora no Kanata (2018) and Lucifer:
Dawn of Despair (2020). In addition, in 2020 the franchise
experimented with an interactive anime titled Hareruya:
Fated Choice, where viewers could decide the final outcome through YouTube
and other platforms.
With this new series, Monster Strike seeks to consolidate its presence in the television format, further expanding its narrative universe and its impact on otaku culture.
