Odekake Kozame's film features trailer and title track

The production team of the film Eiga Odekake Kozame: Tokai no Otomodachi announced that singer Lozareena will perform the theme song titled "Where you come from". The news was accompanied by a new trailer, the introduction of more cast members, and a new promotional image.



An increasingly endearingcast


The production confirmed the addition of the following voice actors:


  • Ai Furihata as the Lady Photographer
  • Makoto Koichi as Manabu
  • Sayaka Kikuchi as the Model
  • Naomi Kusumi as Ojii-san
  • Kana Ueda as Owner
  • Ryōta Suzuki as Dobel-san

Lozareena's single will be released on August 20, and its cover will include illustrations with characters from the film.



A new urban adventure for Kozame-chan


The story follows the tender protagonist, Kozame-chan, who upon seeing a bright sign at the Yaocho train station decides to get on a train heading to the city. Fascinated by the hustle and bustle and the lights, she will live an unforgettable adventure among skyscrapers and new friends.

High-level production



The film is directed by Chihiro Kumano at the ENGI studio, with a screenplay by Hiroaki NagashimaAyumi Takeuchi is in charge of character design, while Kisuke Koizumi leads the sound direction alongside the dugout team. The music is composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, recognized for his work on Love Live! Superstar!!.


Release date in Japan

The film will be released on August 22 in theaters in Japan. This work is based on the Penguin Box manga, which debuted on X (formerly Twitter) in June 2021. Their sixth compilation was released on December 24 in Japan.


The manga was first adapted into an anime in August 2023 with a 60-episode series concluding in May 2024Kana Hanazawa herself wrote and performed the main theme of the series, titled "Yorimichi".


With this new cinematic installment, Odekake Kozame seeks to move fans again with a story full of warmth, nostalgia and discoveries.
