An
isekai with an unusual premise
The
animated adaptation is directed by Takashi Yamamoto (known
for Tsuredure Children) under the production of Studio
Gokumi and AxsiZ studios. The script is in charge
of Tatsuya Takahashi (The Faraway Paladin), while the
character design is by Takahiro Sakai and Naoki
Yamauchi. The original work comes from the light novels written by Kuma
Hiru and illustrated by Itsuwa Kato.
Crunchyroll
also offers the first season on its platform, and describes
the story like this: The fate of this fantasy world rests with... a vending
machine! Boxxo was a human, until he died in an accident and reincarnated as a
conscious machine.
Although he
can see and hear, he cannot move on his own or speak beyond pre-programmed
phrases. Can he find meaning in this new and absurd life? The second season
promises more bizarre and endearing adventures in this eccentric isekai world.
