Asmi presents the opening of A Couple of Cuckoos with a new video clip

The official YouTube channel of the Asmi singer-songwriter premiered the video clip of her third single on CD, "Kimi ga Kureta Mono" ("Everything You Gave Me"), a song that has become the opening theme of the second season of A Couple of Cuckoos. The video clip is now available on the platform, along with the creditless version of the opening of the anime.



ASMI's Journey


asmi debuted in 2019 under the SPACE SHOWER MUSIC label and has since performed tracks for titles such as The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again TodayRent-A-GirlfriendUrusei YatsuraPocket Monster and most recently Food for the Soul. Her versatility and fresh style have made her one of the most recognizable emerging voices in the industry.


Through the anime's official page, Asmi shared a few words on the subject: "Love can sometimes distort even the most sincere heart. When the magic wears off, what's left? I wanted to sing my own love song with a fast rock beat, perfect for summer. It's an honor to be part of A Couple of Cuckoos, I want my song to paint the lives of these five characters and your story as well."


Single release


The track "Kimi ga Kureta Mono" debuted digitally on July 8, while the CD release is scheduled for September 24. Both editions include original artwork accompanying the single.


About the 2nd season


After a 24-episode first season aired in 2022, the long-awaited second season of A Couple of Cuckoos, an adaptation of Miki Yoshikawa's romance manga, premiered in Japan on July 8, 2025. The Crunchyroll platform streams the series in multiple regions, including Europe and Latin America.


The romantic comedy follows Nagi, an exemplary student who on the way to meeting his biological parents crosses paths with Erika, a determined girl who asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend to avoid an arranged marriage. The problem arises when they discover that they are both heading to the same place... and that Erika's parents still insist that they get married. Between his crush at school, studies and this complicated situation, Nagi must discover that love is never easy.
