TMS
Entertainment announced
that its "Detective Conan: Cinema Saturdays" campaign
will air three films from the franchise on its "Anime! on
TMS" on YouTube. The schedule will be for three consecutive
Saturdays at 22:00 (Spain time, UTC+2):
- Detective Conan: The Eleventh
Striker –
August 30
- Detective Conan: The Fourteenth
Target –
September 6
- Detective Conan: Private Eye in
the Distant Sea –
September 13
During the
first four Saturdays of August, the channel had already aired Detective
Conan: The Raven Chaser, Sunflowers of Inferno, Dimensional
Sniper and The Scarlet Bullet.
New
episodes and dubbing
Since July
3, TMS Entertainment began streaming select episodes of
the Detective Conan anime on Crunchyroll and Netflix,
with all-new English dubbing. The first batch, titled "Conan vs.
The Black Organization," includes episodes featuring the main
antagonists, some never before available in the U.S. More episodes were added
on August 21.
About
the franchise
Gōshō
Aoyama's manga
was first published in Weekly Shounen Sunday in 1994. The
series follows Conan Edogawa, the alias of Shinichi Kudo, a young
detective who shrinks after being poisoned. Together with Kogoro Mori and
his daughter Ran, Conan solves complex mysteries for the police.
Recent
and upcoming releases
On July
5, Detective Conan: The Black Iron Submarine, the 26th film, was
screened in the U.S. during the Anime Expo. In addition, Detective
Conan: One-eyed Flashback, the 28th film, debuted in Japan at the top of
the box office on April 18.
