During his
panel at the New York Comic Con 2025, Crunchyroll presented
a new trailer for the anime Yomi no Tsugai (Daemons of the Shadow
Realm), adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hiromu
Arakawa. The video confirmed that the series will premiere in april
2026 and it will be broadcast during two consecutive courses,
covering the spring and summer seasons.
The
trailer, released with English subtitles, also revealed more members of the
production team. Masahiro Andō (Sword of the Stranger)
directs the anime under the studio Bones Film, while Noboru
Takagi (Kingdom, Golden Kamuy) supervises the
composition of the series. Nobuhiro Arai (Bungo Stray Dogs)
is in charge of character design and also serves as chief animation director.
The
soundtrack will be provided by Kenichiro Suehiro (Re:Zero, Golden
Kamuy), while the design of the “Daemons” is the responsibility of Koji
Sugiura and Yoshiyuki Itō. Other team members

the author, Hiromu Arakawa
Hiromu Arakawa he debuted in 1999 and achieved worldwide fame with Fullmetal Alchemist (2001–2010), considered one of the most influential works of modern manga. She is also the author of Silver Spoon and responsible for the illustrations of The Heroic Legend of Arslan. His style is characterized by the combination of action, drama and philosophy in fantasy or social realism environments.
