During his panel at the New York Comic Con 2025, Crunchyroll he announced the acquisition of multiple productions that will soon arrive on his platform. Among them, the third season of Oshi no Ko, which was previously broadcast on HIDIVE, and the movie That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea.
Oshi no Ko changes platform
The first two seasons of Oshi no Ko they originally aired on HIDIVE, where the series reached the biggest launch in the service's history. Now, Crunchyroll he confirmed that the third season will premiere in January 2026 and it will be available for global streaming through its platform.
The anime, based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, debuted in April 2023 with a 90-minute episode. Its second season aired in July 2024 in Japan.
The new Slime movie will also be distributed by Crunchyroll
The company also obtained worldwide distribution rights to the film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll. The film will be released in Japanese theaters on February 27, 2026, and its international launch will be announced soon.

Global expansion of the platform
The announcement comes shortly after the company recognized internal problems in its subtitling system, which were resolved. At the same time, Crunchyroll continues its international expansion with new engineering centers in the United States, Mexico and India, after a series of internal adjustments that occurred in August.
