Historical record: Kimetsu no Yaiba exceeds 100 billion yen at the box office

The demon hunter franchise has rewritten the history books of Japanese cinema. According to a report by Mantan Web and data confirmed by Aniplex, the movie Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle (specifically the first part, Akaza Returns) has achieved an unprecedented milestone by overcoming the barrier of 100 billion yen in worldwide collection.

 

With updated data until November 16, 2025, the tape has accumulated an overall total of 106,370,560,000 yen (approximately 687 million dollars), officially becoming the first Japanese film in reaching this figure. In total, more than 89.17 million entries all over the world.

 

Inside Japan, where the past premiered July 18, the film has grossed 39,927,580,000 yen (some 258 million dollars) with an assistance of 26.04 million people after 122 days on the billboard.

Comparison with Mugen Train and the legacy of the franchise

 

This achievement consolidates a Kimetsu no Yaiba as a cultural phenomenon. To put it in perspective, its predecessor, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train (2020), raised close to 51.7 billion yen worldwide.
