The Film Label Nothing New he has taken a bold step into the industry by announcing his first original anime feature film, titled Wareware wa Uchuujin (We Are Aliens). The project, led by the talented animator Kouhei Kadowaki, revealed its first promotional video, a key visual and confirmed its release window for the year 2026.
Kouhei Kadowaki not only does he direct the film, but he also writes the script, the storyboard, editing and general planning. Kadowaki is known for having created the closing sequence for the second season of BEASTARS and for directing music videos for the duo YOASOBI.
The production has the collaboration of the French studio Miyu Productions (Ghost Cat Anzu), while the study Nothing New, founded in 2022 with the mission to "create a world where talent is not crushed", leads the planning.
Financing campaign
To ensure the quality of the work and expand its distribution, the team launched a campaign crowdfunding on the platform Motion Gallery. The goal is to raise 8 million yen (approximately US$51,700) to cover production and advertising costs.
Synopsis of the film
