A miracle
for the old-school readers of the Weekly Shonen Jump has
materialized. The REMOW company inaugurated this Sunday the
official website for the anime adaptation of the manga Psyren, the
acclaimed work of Toshiaki Iwashiro. After more than a decade since
its end, it was confirmed that the series will premiere on television in 2026.
Along with
the first promotional video and the visual teaser, the voices that will bring
the protagonists to life were announced:
- Rikuya
Yasuda (Mull en Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu
mama.) as Ageha Yoshina
- Mayuko
Kazama (Sayo Minakami in Mahou Shoujo ni
Akogarete) as Sakurako Amamiya
About
the work
Psyren was published in Weekly Shonen Jump between December 2007 and November 2010, racking up 16 volumes. The story follows Ageha Yoshina, who finds a mysterious phone card with the word "Psyren" on it. Using it, he is drawn into a survival game in a desolate world inhabited by monsters called "Taboo", where he must use psychic powers (PSI) to return home.
