The classic
Japanese legend gets a virtual and musical makeover. The official YouTube
channel for the anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (Cho
Kaguya-hime!) began streaming the music video for the song "Watashiha
Watashinokotoga Suki" (I Like Myself) on Friday. The song
is performed by Yuko Natsuyoshi (in her role as Kaguya) and
composed by the famous group HoneyWorks.
This
release is part of a series of music videos produced by big names in the
Vocaloid scene that will be released every Friday until the premiere. The
schedule includes:

by ryo (supercell) and performed by Saori Hayami.

Netflix
Premiere and Cast
The film,
which marks the feature directorial debut of Shingo Yamashita (opening
film for Chainsaw Man, Pokemon: Twilight Wings), will be
released worldwide on Netflix on January 22, 2026.
It is a collaborative production between Studio Chromato and Studio
Colorido.
The main
cast is made up of:

Hayami as Yachiyo
- Rie
Kugimiya as Fushi, a fluffy sea slug.
A modern tale
Set in the virtual kingdom of Tsukuyomi, the story is a modern take on The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. In addition to the film, the franchise will expand with a manga adaptation on January 9 and a novel on January 30.
