A delicate and
transparent love story is ready to light up the screen this summer. During
the GA FES 2026 event, it was officially announced that the
anime adaptation of the novel Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky (Tōmei
na Yoru ni Kakeru Kimi to, Me ni Mienai Koi wo Shita.) will begin airing
next July.
Along with the
premiere date, the production revealed the first key visual and
a promotional teaser video. The illustration captures the ethereal
atmosphere of the series, showing the light gently dissolving into the eyes of
protagonist Koharu Fuyutsuki, reflecting her visionless world.
Cast and
production crew
The MAKARIA studio is in charge of animation under the
direction of Joe Yoshizaki. The scripts for the series are the
responsibility of Yūko Kakihara, while Yoshihiro Sawada and Yūzuki
Ishii design the characters. The main cast includes
stars from the industry:
- Miyu Irino as Kakeru Sorano, a shy college
student.
- Saori Hayami as Koharu Fuyutsuki, the blind
and positive heroine.

Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky
Written by Nanigashi
Shima and illustrated by raemz, the novel won the Grand
Prize at the 15th GA Bunko Awards and reached third place in
the 2024 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guide. Published in August
2023, the work also has a sequel titled Gokusai no Yoru ni Kakeru Kimi
to and a manga adaptation on Square Enix's Manga
UP! service.
The plot tells the
story of the encounter between Kakeru, a young man closed to the world, and
Koharu, a girl who cannot see but who laughs often. Their relationship begins
when he picks up his white cane, starting a pure romance where they both seek
light in each other's darkness.
