Life in a
manga café is about to be livened. The production team for the anime
adaptation of Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi! (Living Life to the
Fullest in a Tiny One-Tatami-Mat-Sized Room) presented four new characters
and a teaser video on Monday. It was confirmed that the series will begin
airing in April 2026.
A unique
feature of this promotional campaign is the incursion into the virtual world:
the character Marica Belltree has launched a YouTube channel
as VTuber and will make her first live broadcast on February 17.

The
direction is in charge of Toshinori Watanabe (Tokyo
Ghoul:re) at the PRA studio. The character design is the
responsibility of Fumiya Uehara, while the music will be composed
by MONACA.
New
additions to the cast
The newly
revealed characters joining the story are:
- Michika Narumi: Freshman working at a cat
café in the same building.
- Majikarumomorin Goda: An 18-year-old girl who
ends up living in the Hedgehog café.
- Gao: A streamer who runs the
GaoChube channel.
- Beruna: Gao's secret servant and
spy.
About
the work
Based on
the manga by Kumako Hisama, this comedy follows Meiko Morita, who
moves to Tokyo to attend an elite academy. In exchange for free tuition, she
begins living and working in "Hedgehog", a manga café that doubles as
a female dormitory, where she coexists with eccentric personalities such as a
fanatical heiress of BL and a professional gamer.
